- Combined physical laws and mathematical methods to calculate a new solution to a fluid flow problem involving Earth's outer core and its viscosity.
- Integrated physical and mathematical models, observations, and data reduction methods to develop the first method for estimating errors in the ages of depth horizons in geology and climatology.
- Wrote a user-friendly computer program for clients to efficiently inspect and quantify video data from laboratory experiments, resulting in cost-effective analysis and a cleared backlog of data.
